My name is Araceli Lopez, I am currently undergoing treatment for Invasive Ductal Carcinoma after discovering a local recurrence in October of 2022. I was diagnosed with breast cancer twice in 2022 and had my mastectomy January 2023. I am still on active treatment and receiving chemotherapy. Profits from Cancertines go towards my treatment and traveling expenses.
I was originally diagnosed in January of 2022, upon diagnosis I found encouragement in using fun socks when I went to my doctor appointments and chemotherapy treatments. My family and friends encouraged me to design my own socks to help spread awareness and support the cause. After designing my socks with Printify I also started designing other awareness merch. When I decided to translate a sweater for my mom from "Fuck Cancer" to her version "Pinche Cancer" that is when the Pinche Cancer sweaters came about, they've been a favorite since. I work on orders during my chemotherapy treatment and it has become a sort of therapy. Since I have a hard time meeting demand I run Cancertines through Printify, they allow me to continue selling merchandise to raise awareness while still earning profit to help with treatment.
